The Ela Area Public Library Board is seeking applicants to fill the seats of board members whose terms will expire in April 2019. Candidates who are elected at the April 2, 2019 consolidated election will fill three four-year term openings and one 2-year term opening. Those interested may pick up filing information at the Library’s Information Desk. The papers include a petition form that must be filed bearing a total of 50 signatures of district residents. Petitions can be circulated immediately. The filing period for ballot positions will run Monday, December 10, 2018 through Monday, December 17, 2018 at 5 p.m. Completed papers should be returned to the Library. Any registered voter who resides in the Library’s district may submit nomination papers for the election.
