Biography Resource Center  - Combines thousands of biographies on people from hundreds of respected reference sources, with full-text articles from numerous magazines. Search for people based on name, birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria.

Crain's businessCrain's Chicago Business (In-Library Access Only) - Offers daily Chicago-area business news, plus links to public records and hundreds of local and national business-oriented sites. Throughout the day, you will find news headlines generated using the combined resources of Crain's Chicago Business, WBBM-AM NewsRadio78 and Reuters Business News. Check with librarian for login and password information required for access to premium content.

Morningstar investmentsMorningstar Investment Research Center - Identify and research stocks and mutual funds, and create and analyze portfolios. Includes reports and exclusive Morningstar Ratings on stocks and mutual funds. You can also download the The Morningstar Guide to Alternative Investments booklet which features Morningstar's approach to investments such as options, exchange traded funds (ETF's) and closed end funds.

Public Records Online - Information about recent local new home sales, new business licenses, foreclosures and bankruptcies. Includes Lake, Cook, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, Will, Kendall, and DeKalb counties. 

ReferenceUSA - Directory information for publicly and privately owned companies in the United States, as well as information about individual consumers. The database is compiled from hundreds of Yellow page directories, Business White Pages, Corporate Annual Reports, SEC 10K reports, Chamber of Commerce Directories, state directories, and other public information sources. It is searchable by: Company or Executive name, and Ticker symbol; SIC & NAICS codes; city, MSA's, state, area code or zip code; business size (sales, numbers of employees, etc.).
