VolunTeen Written Book Reviews

Teens in grades 6-12 can earn volunteer hours by writing an original review for a recently released teen novel. Books must have been released within the past four (4) years. Reviews will be shared on the library's social media and website.

Fill out the form below in its entirety, to participate and earn full hours. Book reviews should be in your own words (plagiarized and AI-assisted reviews will not be accepted). Reviewers will receive one and a half (1.5) hours community service credit for each submitted original review that meets all of the listed requirements, up to a total of three (3) hours per month.

You will receive an email once the review has been read and reviewed letting you know if it's been accepted.
If you need a copy of your volunteer hours, please email the teen librarian at shill@eapl.org, and allow one (1) week to receive them. Submit the review well in advance before your deadline.

Can we share your first name?
Genre (feel free to pick more than one!):
Your rating of the book:
1 being lowest and 5 being highest
Remember, you aren't writing a book report, but it should still have substance. Book reviews should be your own words (plagiarized and AI-assisted reviews will not be accepted), between 200-450 words, include what you liked and didn't like about the book, who else would enjoy the book, and should require little or no editing by library staff. Feel free to show us your personality, have fun with it!
